Home School Alliance
For parents who wish to home school their children and receive the benefits of a vibrant, established private, Christian school, Stoneybrooke offers the Home School Alliance. Students in the Alliance program are taught at home Monday and Tuesday and attend class on the San Juan campus Wednesday through Friday.
Alliance classrooms maintain a low teacher-student ratio with a maximum of 12 students per classroom. Music and art are provided year round, while enrichment in PE, Spanish and technology are taught by parents on a quarterly basis. Alliance students participate in ACSI events such as Speech Meet, Spelling Bee and Math Olympics. Students join in weekly chapels, wear regular Stoneybrooke school uniforms, attend grade level field trips and participate in annual Stoneybrooke activities and events.
The curriculum is primarily Abeka (with Bob Jones for Bible) and is purchased directly from the publishers. Lesson plans are provided in advance and designed for easy implementation at home. Students are automatically enrolled in Accelerated Reader, IXL Math and the school’s library system and enjoy access to the school’s technology lab, science lab, full-size gymnasium and sports field. They participate in standardized spring testing (Terra Nova) and records are maintained by the school.
Interviews are required. Call the school office (364-4407) to schedule a tour or for more information.
